Botox/Anti-wrinkle Injections

Anti-ageing injections are used in the treatment of several areas including: the forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet, as well as upper lip lines.

Anti wrinkle injections, once administered block signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle then cannot contract - this makes the wrinkles relax and soften.

Anti wrinkle injections won’t help with wrinkles caused by the sun or gravity, or the dreaded sleep lines.

Before Procedure

You will have a consultation with Lorena to see if this treatment is suitable. It’s best to avoid alcohol starting at least 1 week before the procedure. You should also stop taking aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications 2 weeks before treatment to help prevent bruising and swelling.

During Procedure

There may be slight discomfort from person to person but this is generally a quick and relatively painless treatment. If there’s a little bruising, you can easily camouflage it with makeup. There is no downtime and you can resume normal activities right away.

After Procedure

The treatment is a quick and safe procedure which has very little impact on usual activity on the day of injection.  For optimal results, the following precautions are suggested:

  • No rubbing or massaging of the injected area for 4 hours after treatment.

  • No strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.

  • Keep upright for 4 hours — no lying on your front. Avoid leaning forward.

  • Avoid head wear that is tightly fitted across the forehead.

  • Avoid excessive alcohol or medically necessary blood thinning medication before the treatment to prevent bruising.

  • No facials or aesthetic treatment of
